Children (6 Years and Older)

Dr. Mary Murphy specializes in helping children overcome a number of different challenges using effective age appropriate therapy techniques such as biofeedback and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Adolescents and Young Adults
Adolescents and young adults experience special challenges while they learn to manage the demands of increasing independence and responsibility. Counseling can help provide the coping skills and executive functioning skills to face the challenges of adolescence and emerging young adulthood.
Adults (Ages 21+)
Adults often come to counseling to cope with emerging issues of depression, anxiety, and troubled relationships. Often they want to try counseling strategies to reduce their need to use medications to manage these symptoms. Evidence based counseling methods are used to treat commonly treated conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and OCD. Counseling methods include CBT (how to change your thoughts and feelings about issues that are distressing), biofeedback (how to reduce your body’s physical reactions to stresses).
